Poco – Legend (1978, ABC Records) (Design: Phil Hartman)

The final album cover featured in our show by Phil is Legend. A masterclass in minimalism, line and space; this is also Phil’s favorite of his own designs. Phil continued to work as a designer during his tenure in The Groundlings and into the early-80’s while he developed as a performer and writer. His final assignments before his full-time transition to actor were, of course, for both Poco and America.
